Why do you have a character count?

Our character counts are set based on years of best practice for the right amount of text, so a user doesn't feel overwhelmed.

They are also set, so text isn't overwritten and breaks the visual design of our activities, providing the user with a better experience overall. 

Where can I see my character count?

The character count is the number in the bottom right corner of a text box in the editor.

What happens if I go over the character count?

If you go over the character count, anything over the character count will be cut off when you publish.
