What are brand guidelines?
Sometimes referred to as brand standards or a style guide these are a set of rules set out by your company that explain how your brand works.
They typically include basic information about the brand such as:
- The mission statement
- The vision, personality and key values
- The tone of voice to be used
- Logo and appropriate usage
- Colour palette
- Type style
- Image style
Most company brand guidelines reside with the marketing department.
How does this affect my TIQ Software project?
Brand guidelines are in place so that all company materials developed look and feel consistent with one another. If you want your project to be in line with the rest of your company materials, you will need to ensure that elements of your brand guidelines are implemented in the project.
